Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations. This role requires proficiency in handling phone systems, electronic medical records, and familiarity with dental terminology and software such as Dentrix.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist them with check-in procedures.
Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar efficiently.
Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information regarding services offered.
Process insurance claims and communicate benefits and fees with patients.
Maintain patient records accurately in electronic medical records systems.
Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth office operations and patient flow.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized front desk area.
Stay updated on dental/ medical terminology and office procedures to provide accurate information to patients.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar front desk role is preferred.
Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to operate phone systems effectively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in office administration is a plus.
