With active chapters in every major city in the province, we are building a strong, connected HR community committed to advancing the profession through expertise, ethics, and leadership. Our mission is to elevate the role of HR in organizations and society, and we are working toward becoming a self-regulated, recognized profession in Alberta.

Position overview

Working closely with the Specialist, Stakeholder Engagement and reporting to the Director, Marketing & Stakeholder Engagement, this role ensures the smooth execution of professional development programs and the fulfillment of sponsorship commitments. The coordinator plays a key role in enhancing member value, building sponsor relationships, and supporting the organization’s strategic goals.

What you will do

· Relying on previous experience, you will lead the development of strategic sponsorship and partnership initiatives.

· Proactively seek opportunities to engage stakeholders in sponsorship and strategic partnerships that enhance member value and support organizational goals.

o Organizing virtual and in-person sessions

o Tracking attendance, feedback, and certification process

o Creating or compiling learning materials like handouts, workbooks, and presentation slides

· Partner with marketing & communications strategists to ensure consistent, personalized messaging across all stakeholder touchpoints.

· Bring the CPHR Alberta brand to life at events-connecting with members, partners, and the public to grow our community and amplify our impact.

· Champion teamwork and shared success by actively supporting colleagues and nurturing a positive, professional, and empowering team culture.

What you bring to the role

· Previous experience in fund development and sponsorship, ideally 2-4 years at a Coordinator level.

· Sharp administrative skills, clear communication, and multitasking mastery – ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

· Creativity and agility to solving complex problems-turning challenges into opportunities for growth and innovation.

· Skill in cultivating meaningful connections with internal teams and external partners to drive shared success and strategic outcomes.

· Proficient in budgeting and financial tracking to support efficient planning.

· Skill in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines without compromising quality or attention to detail.

We are looking for a full-time team member who thrives on building strong relationships, is resourceful and detail-oriented, and brings a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset to every challenge. Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary to support events. Some travel may also be required for event participation or stakeholder meetings.
