Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Commission Sales Associate based in Dehradun. The Commission Sales Associate will identify and approach prospective customers, explain Niva Bupa’s health insurance products, and provide personalized recommendations based on customer needs. The role involves generating leads through field visits, referrals, and local networking, as well as following up consistently to close sales and meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets. The associate will maintain accurate records of customer interactions, proposals, and policy sales, and support customers throughout the policy issuance and post-sales service process. The role also requires collaborating with branch teams, participating in sales campaigns or local events, and staying updated on product features, pricing, and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
• Strong sales and customer relationship skills, including prospecting, negotiation, and closing abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain insurance concepts clearly and confidently.
• Basic understanding of health insurance or financial products, with a willingness to learn product features and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and handle targets and performance-based compensation.
• Comfort using smartphones, basic office software, and digital tools for lead tracking and reporting.
• Prior experience in insurance, banking, or direct sales is preferred but not mandatory.
• Minimum educational qualification: high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in any discipline is an advantage.
• Local market knowledge of Dehradun and surrounding areas, with readiness to travel within the region as needed.
