Application Details

Position Details
The Faculty of Nursing invites applications for clinical nursing practica coaches. Registered Nurses or Registered Psychiatric Nurses with recent clinical experience are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include instruction, supervision, mentorship, and evaluation of nursing students across various settings throughout years 1-4 of the SCBScN program. Responsibilities vary by setting and course.
Applicants must abide by university and agency policies, model professionalism, participate in student evaluation, and may engage in simulation and interprofessional teaching. Travel may be required.
Requirements
• Practicing membership in good standing with CRNS and/or RPNAS
• Current CPR BLS Provider or BLS (HCP) within two years
• Current TLR within three years
• Current mask fit testing within three years
• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing
• Minimum of two years recent relevant experience
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of adult education principles
• Ability to facilitate small group teaching
Additional Information
• Work hours vary per course, including clinical, lab, and seminar times, subject to change.
• Salary is $64.01 per hour, including course meetings and vacation pay.
