As a Lung Clinical Nurse Specialist at Cromwell Hospital, you'll play a vital role in delivering expert, patient-centred care to individuals diagnosed with lung cancer. You'll work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care pathways, support patients and families, and contribute to the ongoing development of our lung cancer services.

How you'll help us make health happen

Provide specialist nursing care and support to inpatients and outpatients with a lung cancer diagnosis.
Act as a key worker and advocate for patients, guiding them through their treatment journey and helping them make informed decisions.
Collaborate with consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team to develop and evaluate personalised care plans.
Support thoracic surgery inpatients and contribute to the coordination of care across departments.
Lead on service development initiatives, audits, and quality improvement projects within the lung service.
Educate and mentor junior staff, sharing your expertise in lung cancer care and supporting professional development.
Participate in lung MDT meetings and ensure accurate clinical documentation and communication.
Act as a clinical role model, promoting best practice and upholding regulatory and governance standards.
Key Skills / Qualifications

Registered General Nurse with a nursing degree.
Post-registration study in lung or oncology nursing.
Extensive experience in lung cancer care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Experience in service development, audit, and education.
Passionate about delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients with complex needs.
