About The Role

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as the Disease Control Team Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and lead the Disease Control Team, ensuring effective operations and compliance with public health standards.
Demonstrate expertise in communicable disease management and immunisation programs, aligned with State and National health targets.
Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate disease control and public health initiatives based on local, state, and national priorities.
Collaborate with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers and government bodies, to coordinate outbreak management and maintain immunisation standards.
Use analytical and strategic skills to monitor, interpret, and report on epidemiological and program-specific data.
Foster a skilled and knowledgeable team through workforce training and professional development.
Act as a consultant on public health issues, providing expertise to health services, external organisations, and community groups.
Requirements

Eligibility for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
A current Immunisation Certificate.
Extensive senior-level experience in community nursing within clinical and population health programs.
Comprehensive knowledge of communicable disease surveillance and control methods.
Advanced skills in program planning, service coordination, and evaluation.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation, facilitation, and interpersonal abilities.
Proven experience in health management systems, including data analysis and interpretation.
Knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in Equal Opportunity, Disability Services, and Occupational Safety Health.
A current C or C-A class driver's licence.
