Clinical Nurse Educator - Intensive Care Unit

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic unit to be a Clinical Nurse Educator supervising and coordinating educational activities within the Intensive care unit.

The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for aspects of educational and quality activities within the unit and the delivery of training for all staff (Registered Nurses, Novice ICU nurses New Graduate Registered Nurses) as needed.

Overall, the Clinical Nurse Educator role provides a unique opportunity to provide clinical and professional support to the Nurse Unit Manager, nursing staff, visiting students and medical team.

About you
• Current AHPRA registration
• Minimum 5yrs experience in Intensive Care Nursing
• Experience as a Team Leader
• Proven presentation and teaching skills in individual, small and large group settings
• Knowledge of Quality / Continuous improvement processes and commitment to the achievement of excellence
• Commitment and positive attitude towards learning and professional development
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including advanced communication skills.
• Hold or working towards a Graduate Certificate or similar in Intensive Care Nursing.
• Advanced Life Support certification
• Previous policy writing experience.
• Cert IV Training Assessment (TAE40116) or working towards
