Civil Engineer (Geotechnical)
Job Description
• Have adequate knowledge of geologic, geotechnical and hydrogeological data.
• Having experiences in monitored for settlement and movement by suitable survey systems.
• The monitoring process and frequency shall be determined by a geotechnical engineer based on the nature of rock, dump height, rainfall and Dumps witnessing tensile cracks (other than settlement cracks).
• The work includes monitoring and checking the condition of dump yard including Monthly prism with required survey instrument to check any settlement or any deviation, keep record, supervision for construction of Dump & sharing observation with remedial measures.
• Proper Compaction of Jarofix material at disposed site ie every bench /slope /berm/ platform area as required density with proper checks & provide remedial measure to operation team.
• Attend site meetings and provides technical support to the project team.
• Other activity as per clients’ requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, surveyors, QA/QC Engineers and HSE personnel.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Master's Degree or specialization in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred.
Experience:
• 5–10 years of experience in civil and geotechnical engineering.
• Experience in dump yard, landfill, mine overburden dump, embankment, or earthwork projects is preferred.
• Experience in site supervision, quality control, and geotechnical investigations.
Technical Skills
• Soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering.
• Earthwork and compaction control.
• Slope stability assessment.
• Drainage and erosion control.
• AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar engineering software.
• Knowledge of relevant IS Codes, ASTM, and project specifications.
• Ability to interpret geotechnical investigation reports and field test results.
