Role Description The Safety Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Panipat, responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe working environment across all company operations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting safety inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with applicable health, safety, and security regulations. The role involves developing and implementing safety policies, procedures, and training programs for employees and contractors. The Safety Officer will investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare reports, recommend corrective actions, and follow up on their implementation. Collaboration with project managers, supervisors, and workers to reinforce safety standards and support continuous improvement in safety performance is essential.
Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with practical knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in Accident Investigation, including root cause analysis, incident reporting, and development of corrective and preventive measures.
• Experience in Security and workplace risk assessment to help protect personnel, equipment, and facilities.
• Ability to design and deliver effective Safety Training programs, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for diverse teams.
• Relevant diploma or degree in safety, engineering, environmental science, or a related field; safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence behavior and promote a safety-oriented culture.
• Attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Experience in construction or engineering environments, particularly in Panipat or similar industrial regions, is preferred.
