Job Title: Catering Events Manager
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
Salary: Starting at $56,000/year + performance-based bonus structure
Schedule: Full-time | Hours will vary. Monday - Friday 8am-4pm training and must be available evenings/weekends as needed.

This is not your average kitchen job. You’ll be cooking up more than meals—you’ll be serving up opportunity, impact, and innovation alongside our Culinary Workforce Development students. What You'll Be Stirring Up:
Catering Social Enterprise Leadership
Launch and lead FeedNC’s brand-new catering initiative
Develop mouthwatering menus, price with purpose, and manage all the moving parts of events—from inquiry to cleanup
Partner with local businesses and community groups to grow a revenue stream that fuels mission-driven work
Represent FeedNC with heart, hustle, and hospitality
Workforce Development Integration
Serve as the go-to mentor for our culinary students during real-time event prep and execution
Provide hands-on instruction in kitchen skills, service etiquette, and event logistics
Work closely with our Workforce Development team to align catering work with student goals
Event Execution Kitchen Command
Lead the charge in preparing food, managing logistics, and delivering wow-worthy events
Plan and execute culinary magic for up to 6 non-catering annual events like fundraisers and community celebrations
Manage time, budgets, people, and plates—all at once
Cross-Team Collaboration Communication
Share kitchen space (and mutual respect) with our Community Dining team
Partner with Development and Communications to market events and amplify our mission
Build a collaborative culture that feeds both people and purpose
Safety Compliance
Maintain ServSafe certification (and make sure others are up to snuff)
Oversee ABC permit compliance
Keep our kitchen safe, sparkling, and stocked
What You Bring to the Table:
2+ years of culinary leadership (catering, foodservice, or restaurant)
ServSafe Certified (Manager-level required; Instructor-level a bonus!)
Experience in social enterprise or workforce training? Huge plus!
Strong cooking skills, high standards, and a cool head under pressure
Ability to lead, teach, and inspire a team
Entrepreneurial mindset with a mission-first heart
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and hustle when needed
