Business Development Manager
Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and growth-oriented Business Development & Brand Partnerships Lead to drive new business acquisition, strategic partnerships, and revenue growth for the agency. The ideal candidate will have a strong network across brands, marketing teams, and industry stakeholders, along with proven experience in pitching integrated marketing solutions and closing high-value partnerships.
This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, relationship management, and commercial acumen to identify opportunities, build long-term client relationships, and contribute to the agency's growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Drive new client acquisition across digital, mainline, content, social media, influencer marketing, and integrated marketing solutions.
Identify, prospect, and engage potential clients through networking, referrals, industry events, and outreach initiatives.
Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Lead end-to-end sales cycles, including prospecting, proposal development, presentations, negotiations, and contract closures.
Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and forecast business opportunities.
Brand Partnerships
Establish and nurture strategic relationships with brands, marketing decision-makers, media partners, platforms, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
Identify partnership opportunities that create value for both clients and the agency.
Collaborate with internal teams to conceptualize and develop partnership-led campaigns and integrated marketing solutions.
Negotiate commercial terms and ensure mutually beneficial partnership agreements.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Build strong relationships with senior marketing professionals and key decision-makers.
Understand client business challenges and recommend innovative marketing and communication solutions.
Ensure seamless handover of won business to client servicing and delivery teams.
Act as a strategic advisor to clients, fostering long-term partnerships and repeat business.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
Identify new revenue streams, sectors, and partnership avenues.
Provide strategic insights to leadership on market developments and business opportunities.
Revenue & Growth
Own revenue targets and contribute significantly to agency growth.
Track performance against KPIs and prepare regular business reports.
Collaborate with leadership to develop annual business growth plans.
Requirements
6–10 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Brand Partnerships, or Client Acquisition within an advertising, digital, media, PR, or marketing agency.
Proven track record of winning new business and achieving revenue targets.
Strong network among brand marketers, marketing heads, and industry stakeholders.
Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
Experience in creating proposals, pitches, and integrated marketing solutions.
Strong commercial understanding and partnership-building capabilities.
Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for growth.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with integrated, digital, advertising, media, or content agencies.
Existing relationships with leading brands and marketing decision-makers.
