Qualifications
Energy Transfer is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting while contributing to the financial operations of a leading energy company
The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a passion for the energy sector
Education And/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Must adhere to the highest standards of ethical behavior when carrying out job responsibilities
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products
Required Experience Is Commensurate With The Selected Job Level
The Associate Accountant requires a Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of relevant job related experience
The Accountant level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience

Responsibilities
Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and support budgeting and forecasting activities
Analyze financial results and provide senior leadership insight to key drivers for operational performance
Identify, assess and manage risk to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Identify and recommend updates to accounting processes and procedures
Usually, normal office working conditions
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing

• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Analyze financial results and provide senior leadership insight to key drivers for operational performance
• Identify, assess and manage risk to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
