Role Description
The Area Sales Manager will oversee sales operations within the assigned region, including managing Architects, Builders and retailer relationships, driving product penetration, and achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets.
The role involves regularly visiting key accounts, monitoring market trends, and identifying new business opportunities in sanitary fittings and wellness products.
The Area Sales Manager will lead and support a field sales team, provide training on product features and selling techniques, and ensure strong brand visibility through effective merchandising and local marketing initiatives.
The role also includes preparing sales reports, forecasting demand, coordinating with internal teams for inventory and pricing, and resolving customer issues promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
Proven experience in area or territory sales management, preferably in sanitaryware, building materials, consumer durables, or related retail sectors.
Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills to manage distributors, retailers, contractors, and influencers such as architects and interior designers.
Ability to analyze sales data, track performance against targets, and prepare clear reports and forecasts.
Comfort with field work, including regular market visits, competitor mapping, and new outlet identification within the assigned geography.
Proficiency in basic office software and digital tools for reporting, communication, and customer follow-up.
