Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage our financial transactions, ensure statutory compliance, and contribute to the financial health of our company. This role requires expertise in accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting, along with proficiency in industry-standard accounting software.
Key Responsibilities Accounting & Bookkeeping:
Maintain accurate day-to-day financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards.
Record and manageaccounts payable and receivable, ensuringtimely payments and collections.
Handle bank reconciliation, identifying and resolvingdiscrepancies in financialrecords.
Oversee general ledgeraccounting and ensureproper account classification.
Taxation & Compliance:
Manage GST (Goodsand Services Tax) calculations, filings,and reconciliations.
Ensure accurate and timely TDS (Tax Deductedat Source) deductions, returns, and challan submissions.
Handle PF (Provident Fund) and ESIC (Employees’ State Insurance Corporation) compliance, including return filings.
Prepare and file statutory reportssuch as GSTR-1,GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, TDS Returns (Form 26Q, 24Q), PF & ESIC Returns, Income Tax filings, and other reports/forms/challans.
Coordinate with auditorsand assist in statutory and internal audits.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Generate and analysefinancial reports, includingprofit & loss statements, balancesheets, and cash flow statements.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis to support businessdecisions.
Ensure proper cost allocation and expense trackingfor financial efficiency.
Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations using Google Sheets.
Handle accounts for multiple companies/entities simultaneously.
Software & SystemManagement:
Maintain accurate recordsusing ZOHO Books, Tally, and Microsoft Excel.
Streamline and improveaccounting workflows for efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure all financialdata is backedup and secured as per company policies.
Qualifications& Skills:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in commerce specialising in Accounting, Finance,or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the travel or hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, compliance regulations and E-invoicing.
Proficiency in ZOHO Books, Tally, and MicrosoftExcel.
Detail-oriented with excellentanalytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to managemultiple financial tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and coordination skillsto work with vendors, auditors,and internal teams.
