Role Description The Area Head will be responsible for driving sales, managing distribution channels, and achieving business targets within the assigned region. This full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad involves overseeing branch operations, guiding and motivating field teams, and ensuring consistent performance across all points of sale. The Area Head will build and maintain relationships with key partners, monitor market trends, and implement strategic initiatives to grow the life insurance business. Regular duties include reviewing sales metrics, coaching team members, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies, and supporting customer-centric initiatives. The role also requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders to align regional execution with overall organizational goals.
Qualifications
• Strong experience in sales and business development, preferably in life insurance or financial services, with a track record of meeting and exceeding regional targets.
• Proficiency in team leadership and people management, including mentoring, performance monitoring, and driving engagement across distributed field teams.
• Operational and analytical skills to manage branch activities, interpret sales data, forecast performance, and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Relationship management abilities to collaborate effectively with bank partners, distributors, corporate stakeholders, and customers.
• Solid understanding of insurance products, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards within the Indian financial services industry.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or MBA is an advantage.
• Prior experience in managing a region or multiple branches, with familiarity with the Hyderabad and surrounding markets considered beneficial.
