The location in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada, is seeking talent to fill the position of Project Accountant. This job is full-time permanent.

General Description

Domtar is a major player in the fiber industry and is actively committed to innovation and sustainable growth. We are looking for a passionate and meticulous Project Controller to support the management of our strategic projects and contribute to their success.

Responsibilities
• Ensure budget tracking, cost analysis, and financial performance of projects.
• Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with project managers.
• Identify gaps between the plan and execution, propose corrective measures.
• Prepare regular reports on project progress (KPI, dashboards, etc.).
• Collaborate with finance, engineering, procurement, and project management teams.
• Ensure the application of best practices in project control and risk management.

Ideal Profile
• University degree in administration, engineering, finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project control or coordination.
• Proficiency in planning tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.) and financial analysis tools (advanced Excel, SAP).
• Excellent analytical skills, organizational sense, and rigor.
• Good communication skills in French and English.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
