Chemistry Teacher

Responsibilities

Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions focused on test preparation for AQA an OCR
Assess students' strengths and weaknesses to tailor tutoring sessions accordingly.
Develop and implement customised study plans that align with each student's goals.
Provide guidance on test-taking strategies, time management, and stress reduction techniques.
Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed to ensure effective learning.
Create and distribute practice materials, including quizzes and mock tests.
Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment that fosters student engagement.
Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress and areas for improvement.
Requirements

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly in test preparation for A-level exams.
Strong knowledge of the subject matter relevant to the tests being prepared for.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable manner.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed academically.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if necessary.
A degree in a relevant field is mandatory with a minimum A/A* in Chemistry. Anything below this will be rejected automatically with no exception.
Familiarity with various teaching methods and learning styles is advantageous. Read more
