About Us
Infrastructure Directorate
The Infrastructure Directorate is the City of Stirling’s largest and most diverse Directorate, managing many of the City’s important assets and services while delivering a multi-million-dollar portfolio of projects.
This Directorate is responsible for the ongoing delivery of the City’s sustainability program, as well as contributing heavily to the City of Stirling’s vibrant local economy, liveable neighbourhoods and thriving communities.
About the Position
Provide technical, administrative and customer service support to the Streetscape Horticulture Program. Manage Parks Streetscape contracts, oversee landscape upgrades, and act as point of contact for stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
The duties of the Technical Officer Streetscape Horticulture will include but are not limited to:
Manage horticulture contracts and ensure compliance
Provide technical support and advice on horticultural issues
Conduct asset audits and oversee landscape upgrades
Coordinate stakeholder meetings and ensure hazard identification
Process purchase orders and authorise invoices
About You
The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.
Diploma in either Horticulture, Arboriculture, Conservation Management, Landscape Construction or demonstrated equivalent competency.
Strong contract management and customer service skills
Ability to conduct audits and manage assets
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Windows and Excel, Outlook) and operating systems generally.
Valid Australian driving licence

This temporary full-time position is a Level 7 Inside Workforce Agreement positions which attracts a salary from $96,731 gross per annum plus superannuation.
To be eligible to work for us, you need to provide, or have ability obtain a:
A copy of Australian driving licence
National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months)
Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance
