About Us

At Signature Homes Waikato we are “Addicted to being Better Together” focussed on delivering the highest quality product and best customer experience in the industry. As the local franchise of one of New Zealand’s most successful and longest standing residential building companies, we are committed to 4 key standards:

Team – it takes a team to build a home
Continuous improvement – always looking, both personally and as a business, to seek a better result.
Communication – that is honest, timely and fully transparent, both internally within our business and externally with both our customers and suppliers.
Personal ownership – the standard you walk past, is the standard you accept.

The role opportunity:

Becoming a Signature Homes New Home Consultant is an opportunity to build your own business within a trusted framework that has delivered results for over 40 years. You will be joining a team of 3 experienced and successful Consultants and be part of a well-established wider business of industry and subject experts.

The consultant’s day to day role is to work with our clients as trusted experts putting together solutions based on a diversified offering from our own development partner opportunities through to full-service architectural design and builds. Their superior knowledge of the process and bringing in core team members into key meetings means they can be the difference in ensuring a wonderful home building experience. They are masters at understanding people’s needs, have the knowledge to find the solution that fits the bill, and the people skills to be a trusted advisor through a big decision-making journey.

The role will take you from lead management, managing phone enquiries, face to face consultations – walking a client through the process from enquiry to sales conversion and much more. You may even be putting on a hard hat and walking around a ‘build in progress’ or taking a client through one of our Show Homes. You will know your customers and the industry, spending much of your time learning all you can about new products, areas or developments we service, materials, and design ideas quickly building up a large database of clients.

Success – what does it take:

A passion for understanding needs and finding solutions for your customers either as you build internal knowledge or being a master facilitator / seeker of information.
An understanding and appreciation for systems. We have invested substantially in IT software. Our consultants work with design and estimating software as well as a CRM so being quick to learn new systems, and to be competent in IT, will be a prerequisite in your application.
A great team player, who can work well with their Signature Homes colleagues including: project managers; designers; architects; quantity surveyors, finance, leadership.
