Osaka Hibachi, located at 599 Main Street, Moncton, NB, is hiring a self-motivated waiter/waitress with strong interpersonal skills. The role is available for permanent, full-time employment, with shifts that may include day, evening, and weekend hours. Immediate start expected.
Waiters assist restaurant patrons by noting their order, serving tables their requested meals, and preparing bills at the end of the table’s meal. Waiters are also responsible for asking customers if they are satisfied with their meal and providing any assistance should the customer not be satisfied.
We are looking for a friendly waitress to assist customers by providing menus and information about specials, taking food orders, and ensuring that orders are received by kitchen staff and prepared according to the customer’s specifications. Waitresses also check in with customers to find out if they are happy with their service and meals.

To be successful as a waiter or waitress you must have the endurance to stand for long hours and have patience with difficult customers. A good waiter anticipates the needs of customers and provides all services in a friendly manner.
Job Description
• Ensure legal age for mixing and serving alcoholic beverages.
• Handle billing and accept payments through cash, credit/debit cards, travelers cheques, or room charges.
• Describe menu items and daily specials to customers, advising them on menu selections.
• Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs efficiently.
• Greet customers warmly, present menus, offer recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages.
• Serve food and beverages with professionalism.
• Take customer orders and communicate them clearly to kitchen and bar staff.
• Assist clients and guests with special needs as required.
Job Requirements
• Fluent English speaker.
• High school diploma required; experience is a plus.
• Able to lift up to * kg (20 lbs).
• Client-focused with strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Organized, flexible, and able to work independently.
• Reliable, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
Work Setting
•Must thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment that demands efficiency.
Additional Information
•Able to handle a busy work environment and stand for extended periods.
