Job Description
Front Waiter / Server – Private Golf Club
The Golf Club of Purchase is seeking a polished, professional, and service-oriented Front Waiter to join our Food & Beverage team. This individual will play an important role in delivering a tailored dining experience to our members and guests in a warm, welcoming private club environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet members and guests warmly, provide menus, and deliver attentive, personalized service during à la carte dining and club events
Take food and beverage orders accurately, enter orders into the POS system, and communicate effectively with the culinary team
Demonstrate a strong understanding of menu offerings, ingredients, food preparation, and proper dining etiquette
Ensure all member and guest interactions are professional, courteous, and responsive to individual needs
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper table presentation throughout service
Clear and reset tables efficiently while preparing dining areas for continued service
Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety standards
Collaborate with culinary and service teams to ensure a seamless dining experience
Assist with the setup and breakdown of dining rooms, bars, and special events as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous Food & Beverage experience required; private club, fine dining, hotel, or upscale restaurant experience preferred
Bartending experience and beverage knowledge are a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently with members and guests
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy service periods
Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
Professional appearance, positive attitude, and exceptional attention to detail
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
