Qualifications
This is a relatively straightforward editing role, so I'm looking for someone who can complete clean, professional edits efficiently and at a reasonable cost
I'm not looking for heavy motion graphics or cinematic editing
Responsibilities
Projects will generally fall into one of two categories:
Reaction videos: I'll provide a raw camera recording and a screen recording
Your job will be to sync the footage, switch between camera and screen at the appropriate times, remove mistakes, improve pacing, add zooms/highlights where appropriate, and prepare the final video for YouTube
Traditional talking-head videos: I'll provide a single camera recording
You'll edit for pacing, remove mistakes and dead space, add relevant B-roll, images, screenshots, text callouts, and simple infographics to keep the video engaging
Removing mistakes, pauses, and filler words when appropriate
Improving pacing and viewer retention
Adding B-roll, screenshots, logos, and graphics
Basic motion graphics and text animations
Audio cleanup and balancing
Color correction (basic)
Exporting YouTube-ready files

I need a video editor to help with YouTube videos focused on credit cards, points & miles, travel rewards, and occasional travel content.
If we're a good fit, I have ongoing work (3–6 videos/month) and would like to build a long-term relationship with one editor.
