Job Description
Role Purpose :-
Responsible for managing and optimizing the supply chain operations for Oleo + Specialty Chemicals, ensuring efficient procurement, production, distribution, and logistics to meet local market demands and larger organization goals
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
a. Develop a supply chain and procurement strategy for Oleo Operations in India and Indonesia that supports achievement of business objectives
b. Develop procurement strategy for Oleochemicals and Specialty Chemicals that supports achievement of business objectives. Develop long-term and short-term plans for the procurement function
c. Plan for smooth functioning of operations through efficient management and coordination of procurement, demand forecasting and production planning functions and ensuring adherence to the Supply Chain Planning process
Industry practices:
Stay current with industry-specific trends and developments including technological advancements in supply chain practices sustainable oil procurement practices and the geopolitical climate impacting Oil prices across the globe
Procurement Operations:
Oversee procurement activities, including supplier selection, negotiations, and contracts, to support both Oleo plant operations and cost-efficiency
Planning and Scheduling:
Oversee and review activities related to the supply chain planning calendar, ensuring completion as per schedule
Logistics Management:
Manage the logistics and distribution network for Oleochemicals and Specialty Chemicals, optimizing transportation, warehousing, and delivery processes
Continuous Improvement:
Make periodic recommendations for optimization of supply chain of Oleo operations based on previous trends and critical pain-points
Audit and Compliance:
Responsible for tracking of and adherence to key supply chain metrics related to customer service (internal and external customers) levels, and plan vs. actual for production, procurement, and dispatch
Relationship Management:
Maintain strong relationships with material suppliers and logistics partners to guarantee consistent and high-quality material deliveries, negotiate terms, and manage any potential issue
