Job Description
What's the role?
In this role, you will be embedded in an Scrum development set-up and part of an international team in our software competence center. You will be a driving force to expand and evolve our B2B digital product offerings to reinforce our position as a software innovator in the Building and Construction industry. As UX designer (m/f/d), you will have the opportunity to shape our web & mobile apps for On!Track - Hilti’s industry leading ‘Internet of Things’ asset management solution, alongside other UX team colleagues.
What does the role involve?
• You will drive evolution of the user experience for Hilti ON!Track solution, contributing with your broad work experience and deep expertise in UX design and driving customer centricity throughout all product phases in our development set-up.
• As a UX designer you will help and inspire other designers in their work, optimize methods & processes applying lean UX design principles and steer UX initiatives to efficiently deliver customer value.
• As a hands-on contributor in scrum team(s) you will work on features end-to-end translating functional requirements, user needs and technical constraints into designs that are effective, easy to use and engaging.
• You will ideate, explore and prototype different design directions considering existing design system, analyze pros & cons and effectively communicate rational behind design decisions supported by UX research data.
• In collaboration with PM/PO you will conduct user research to co-define solution requirements, user journey maps & workflows and to validate designs and prototypes in fast iteration cycles.
• You will thrive to deliver customer value by co-defining user research goals, UX objectives and UX metrics to ensure data driven design and execution of effective build-measure-learn loops.
• You will partner with Product Manager (PM) and Product Owner (PO) to incorporate UX improvements and strategic UX topics into product roadmap.
What you need is:
• Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
• At least five (5) years of experience in UX Designer role working on complex and interaction-rich digital solutions.
• Excellent UX design skills and ability to translate complex functionality requirements into simple effective user-centered design solutions.
• Profound knowledge of web & mobile design patterns and best practices.
• Experience in preparing, conducting, and systematically analyzing results of user research
• Ability to effectively work with team members & customers around the globe in a virtual environment.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Experience working with international teams and willingness to travel internationally.
• Portfolio or work samples demonstrating relevant design skills.
