Tutorial Assistant - Aviation Engineering
Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to become an integral part of NMIT Aviation programme based at the Nelson Campus.
We are looking for a permanent, full time (5 days a week 36 hours), Aviation Tutorial Assistant with a broad range of skills and knowledge in general aircraft maintenance engineering.
The key responsibilities for the role are:
Preparing teaching resources for tutors
Assist with tutors with training and assessments
Assisting students to prepare training documentation and evidence of learning
Maintaining training equipment and inventories
About you / He kōrero mōu
To be successful in this role you will need:
NCEA level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) with experience in aviation or mechanical field OR Level 4 National Certificate in associated field
Full clean drivers license (Forklift license an advantage)
To be able to build and maintain effective relationships while being sensitive to students needs and,
A teaching / instructor background and / or an attitude to learn and develop this skill is preferred
