Position Purpose
The candidate will be responsible as a functional testing resource for Design and execution of functional as well as regression testing suite. The candidate must have exposure Finance - Liquidity reporting Domain. The candidate should be well versed in working effectively in fast-paced environments and be able to adopt changing test Methodologies (Waterfall, Agile etc.). Candidate will directly liaise with onshore teams on functional and Technical.
As a QA Functional Tester, you will be responsible for;
Understanding the FSR/BRD documents; Designing and executing functional test cases for Finance -risk regulatory reporting teams
Co-coordinating/executing testing across multiple testing phases (SIT, regression)
Ensuring adherence to QA metrics such as defects, defect count and test results
Ensuring all applicable testing processes are followed
Documenting all defects/issues and re-testing the defects post resolution
Participate in daily scrum calls and work closely with test lead, Business analysts, developers within the scrum teams
Identify and prepare test data for test execution
Must have skills
2 to 5 years of experience in Functional testing
Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or equivalent
Should be well versed with fundamentals of testing and testing methodologies
Have In-depth experience in creating Test cases, Test Data setup, Test Execution, Defect tracking etc
Possess working experience and good knowledge in Finance-Risk domain to clearly understand functional requirement documents
Should be well versed in executing test cases during SIT, regression testing and generating test summary reports
Good knowledge of PL/SQL and should be able to understand stored procedures and medium to complex SQL queries
Possess experience in working with defect management tools HP ALM, JIRA etc
Should be able to understand and execute automation test scripts
Must be a quick learner and have ability to adapt to a challenging environment
Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively co-ordinate with different business teams
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to drive project responsibilities in a pro-active and dynamic manner
Good to have skills
Any certifications in Finance/ ISTQB would be a plus
Ability to design automation test scripts using any industry standard automation tools
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Technical Skills
Good knowledge of SDLC in general and QA cycle in specific, and experience in various types of testing (functional and regression) activities
Knowledge of test automation would be an added advantage
Expertise on SQL, test management using ALM (Quality Center), JIRA
Behavioral Skills
Good communication and co-ordination skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must be flexible, independent and self-motivated.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor in IT or Computer Engg.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in supporting applications & business processes
Exposure to IT service delivery,
