Job Description
Location: Chelsea
Hatch Stamping is looking for a motivated and dependable Tool Room Helper to assist our skilled Tool Room staff.
No prior experience
is necessary as we are willing to train the right candidate. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn and grow in the metal stamping industry.
The Tool Room Helper will be involved in various tasks to support the day-to-day operations, including cleaning, maintaining, and assembling tools and equipment. If you have a mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn, this could be the perfect opportunity to launch your career in the manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities
:
• Work alongside experienced toolmakers, assisting with preventive maintenance (PM) and tool assembly
.
• Disassemble and clean dies using appropriate solutions, brushes, and rags.
• Sharpen dies and punches as needed.
• Reassemble tools and dies, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
• Assist with moving, lifting, clamping, and bolting dies and fixtures onto machines using hand tools.
• Lubricate, clean, and perform routine maintenance on tool room equipment.
• Help lift and position work pieces during tooling operations.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications and Skills
:
• Reliable, motivated, and eager to learn.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with a willingness to gain new skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Experience with basic hand and power tools
.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
