Minimum 2 hours per week
Grow and nurture high-quality plants that support field planting and research outcomes
Maintain optimal greenhouse conditions to ensure a thriving plant collection
Play a hands-on role in supporting a productive and well-run horticultural environment
What you will be doing | Ngā whāinga matua
Monitor and maintain plant watering and irrigation systems.
Support pest and disease control programmes, including spraying activities.
Propagate and maintain healthy kiwifruit plant collections.
Carry out plant care tasks including pruning, potting, training, and fertilising.
Maintain clean, safe, and organised greenhouse and potting areas.
Provide support with day-to-day greenhouse operations and deputy manager duties

To be successful in this role, the minimum qualifications required are:
Strong plant husbandry skills, with a genuine interest in plants
Good understanding of plant care, including watering requirements (training provided)
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Confident communicator, able to work effectively with others
Physically fit and comfortable working in a greenhouse and outdoor conditions
Current Growsafe certificate is an advantage, or willingness to undertake certification
