Team Lead - Engineering (HVAC & Water Systems)
Job Description
Job Summary: The HVAC and Clean Utility Team Leader will oversee the maintenance and operation of HVAC systems and clean utility services within a biologics pharmaceutical plant. This role ensures that all systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards. The team leader will manage a team of technicians, coordinate maintenance schedules, and ensure the reliability of critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership and Supervision:
• Lead and supervise a team of HVAC and clean utility teams.
• Assign daily tasks and ensure timely completion.
• Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
• System Maintenance and Operation:
• Oversee the maintenance and operation of HVAC systems, including air handling units, EMS, BMS, and cleanroom environments.
• Ensure On time scheduled validations/PM/Filter cleaning and documentation compliances.
• Ensure the reliability and efficiency of clean utility systems such as purified water, water for injection, clean steam, and high-quality compressed air.
• Conduct regular reviews and preventive maintenance.
• Ensuring compliance of service level agreement of O&M contract in terms of safety, quality, delivery, budget. Resource management & reviewing the performance on their deliverables.
• Ensuring all time readiness for any audits from government and regulatory agencies.
• Compliance and Safety:
• Ensure all systems comply with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and other regulatory requirements.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and compliance documentation.
• Project Management:
• Coordinate and manage HVAC and clean utility projects, including upgrades and installations.
• Work with contractors and vendors to ensure project specifications are met.
• Monitor project timelines and budgets.
• Technical Expertise:
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HVAC and clean utility systems.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in HVAC and clean utility technology.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the team.
• Communication and Collaboration:
• Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding system status and maintenance needs.
• Prepare and present reports on system performance and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in HVAC and clean utility management, preferably in a pharmaceutical or biologics environment.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in using maintenance management through SAP.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
