Job Description
Position: Event Tactical Response Guard
Position Type: Casual / Contract - based on event contracts with possible transition to permanent employment based on performance
Location: Ontario – Multiple Event Venues
Reports To: Event Security Supervisor

Position Summary:
The Event Tactical Response Guard is a specialized role responsible for responding to escalated security incidents, high-risk situations, and critical incidents during event operations. This position requires a strong foundation in de-escalation, lawful intervention, and professional conduct in stressful or non-compliant encounters.
Responsibilities:
Monitor crowd activity and identify risks such as intoxication, aggression, or unsafe behavior.
Conduct access control duties, including checking tickets, credentials, and bags.
Respond to calls for assistance and support emergency response protocols.
Intervene in situations involving aggression, violence, or significant disturbances.
Conduct safe and lawful removal of disruptive or non-compliant individuals.
Employ tactical communication and de-escalation strategies to prevent conflict escalation.
Respond to critical incidents in a calm, respectful, and professional manner.
Maintain compliance with applicable legislation including the Trespass to Property Act and Liquor License and Control Act.
Complete thorough incident reports and participate in debriefs.
Qualifications:
All requirements of the Event Security Guard
Minimum 1 year of event security or tactical response experience
Strong leadership, composure, and communication under pressure
Mandatory pre-employment tactical and legal training (provided)
Prior training in:
De-escalation and crisis intervention
ID verification
Legal authority under the LLCA and TPA
