About The Opportunity
A leading healthcare provider in India’s surgical oncology space, we deliver precision-driven cancer care through state-of-the-art facilities and multidisciplinary tumor boards. Our surgeons collaborate with radiologists, medical oncologists, and pathologists to design patient-centric treatment pathways—combining advanced surgical techniques with cutting-edge perioperative protocols for superior outcomes across gastrointestinal, breast, thoracic, and head & neck malignancies. Role & Responsibilities
• Perform complex oncologic resections—including Whipple, total gastrectomy, mastectomy, pneumonectomy, and radical neck dissections—with intraoperative margin assessment and lymph node mapping.
• Lead multidisciplinary tumor board discussions, presenting surgical options, staging data, and prognostic indicators to align treatment strategies.
• Manage pre- and post-operative cancer patients, including complications such as anastomotic leaks, wound dehiscence, and chyle fistula, while coordinating adjuvant therapy timelines.
• Implement enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocols to reduce hospital stays, ****** use, and surgical site infections.
• Conduct intraoperative frozen section analysis and coordinate with pathology for real-time margin determination during tumor en bloc resections.
• Participate in clinical audits, morbidity & mortality reviews, and contribute to institutional oncology registry data to drive quality improvement.
Skills & Qualifications
• Must-Have
• MBBS with MS/DM in General Surgery or Surgical Oncology
• DNB or MCh in Surgical Oncology (if applicable)
• Valid NMC Registration
• Proficiency in open and minimally invasive oncologic procedures (laparoscopic/robotic)
• Experience with sentinel lymph node biopsy and intraoperative ultrasound
• Knowledge of TNM staging, AJCC guidelines, and NCCN protocols
• Ability to interpret PET-CT, MRI, and endoscopic ultrasound for surgical planning
• Experience in managing post-op complications including fistulas, abscesses, and GI leaks
• Preferred
• Experience in sarcoma resections or hepatobiliary oncology
• Publications or presentations in national/international surgical oncology conferences
• Training or fellowship in robotic surgery (da Vinci) or hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC)
