Dental Assistant Level II

Marystown Dental Clinic is hiring !! Our modern fully computerized dental practice is seeking to fill a full time position for an exceptionally organized and dependable Certified Level II Dental Assistant. The successful candidate must have a pleasing personality, great smile and an exceptional attitude as well as be a hardworking, organized, self-motivated, positive and highly motivated people person. Duties Include:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patients by sterilizing and arranging instruments and equipment
- Take dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and updating medical records
- Assist with medical documentation and coding using dental software
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Some knowledge of medical coding and billing practices
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus

This position requires a Dental Assistant certification and experience working in a dental office is preferred. The ideal candidate should also have experience using dental software for medical documentation however some training will be provided.
