Our Opportunity:
Attention all engineering students interested in the energy sector! Mercury is currently seeking talented and motivated interns to join our team for the summer from November 2026 to February 2027.
As an engineering intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of engineering projects that will contribute to the development of sustainable energy solutions. This is an opportunity to put your theoretical knowledge into practice.
We are looking for a 2nd or 3rd year Mechanical Engineering Intern to be based at our Mokai / Nga Awa Purua generation sites, working with our experienced engineers.

About you:
An interest in renewable power generation
Currently studying an NZQA Engineering degree or equivalent (please provide official transcripts) OR a degree related to the above areas of interest

The passion, curiosity and enthusiasm to get stuck in and make a real difference
A full and clean New Zealand drivers' licence
