Full job description
The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Full-Time (1.00 f.t.e.) Student Success Facilitator at E. E. Oliver Elementary School. This position will commence on August 27, 2026.
School-based Student Success Facilitators are individuals who work with children, youth, and staff to promote positive mental health. They are responsible to the school Principal, under the direction of the Director of Learning Services. In this role they have the following duties and responsibilities:
In cooperation with school and division teams, the successful candidate will:
Student Programming :
Work as part of a team to deliver developmentally appropriate, evidence-based programming that meets the requirement of the Alberta Education Health & Wellness Curriculum.
Cultural Support:
Be knowledgeable about and positively promote Indigenous culture in the school community
School Community Supports:
Deliver programming for large groups (e.g., classroom presentations, open houses, assemblies, etc.) in school and community settings that enable others to better their own mental health and wellness.
Work with school staff, parents and community members (who work closely with children and youth) regarding mental health subject matter to increase awareness, knowledge, skills and competency related to mental health. This may also include coordinating and assisting with training for school staff.
Work with school staff, parents, and community members (who work closely with children and youth) to improve school attendance and academic achievement for all learners.
Organization and Management Duties:
Update the profile monthly.
Participate in professional development and training.
Complete PRSD documentation as required.
Complete a schedule of classroom visits and programming.
Maintain a Google calendar with transparency to administrative team and Director of Learning Services.
Relationships and Collaboration :
Collaborate with the school administration to support the social and emotional needs of students.
Meet consistently with the school administration team.
Participate in collaborative response meetings as requested.
Collaborate with the school teaching staff to support universal programming.
Collaborate with the PRSD School Social Worker to support the needs of students.
Desired Qualities:
Experience in addiction and mental health or health/human services related role, working with youth and families and /or relevant related course work.
Familiar with the developmental, educational, emotional, social and recreational needs of children, youth and families.
Experience delivering programming and comfortable with public speaking.
Strong relationship-building skills and ability to develop supportive relationships with young people.
Knowledge of local community and resources.

Rate of pay is dependent on years of education along with years of relatable experience. It will range from $25.16 per hour to $37.22 per hour.
