About the Role:
The Centre for Thinking, Language, and Communication (CTLC) at Plaksha University seeks experienced and academically grounded Guest Faculty members to design, deliver, and continuously enhance courses in Conversational Hindi and Conversational Punjabi for non-native speakers of the respective language.
The ideal candidates will combine expertise in Hindi or Punjabi language studies, applied linguistics, and related disciplines with demonstrated experience in facilitating language training for diverse audiences, including university students, early-career professionals, and executives. The role requires strong language proficiency, interpersonal communication skills, and academic delivery capabilities, alongside the ability to design engaging, outcomes-driven learning experiences.
These positions involve teaching, curriculum development, program management, learner support, and stakeholder engagement to strengthen language competencies across academic and professional contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver High-Quality Instruction: Plan and deliver engaging Conversational Hindi or Conversational Punjabi classes, workshops, tutorials, and coaching sessions in accordance with the university-approved curriculum and academic standards.
Design and Enhance Curriculum: Develop, review, and continuously improve course content, learning materials, assessments, and experiential learning activities to ensure relevance, quality, and alignment with academic and industry needs.
Facilitate Practical Language Development: Foster learners' oral, interpersonal, and workplace communication skills through interactive teaching methodologies and real-world learning experiences.
Assess, Mentor, and Support Students: Evaluate learner progress, provide constructive feedback, offer individualized mentoring and academic support, and promote students' confidence and professional readiness.
Monitor Learning Outcomes and Maintain Academic Records: Develop assessment frameworks, track student performance, maintain accurate documentation, and prepare reports on learner progress and course effectiveness.
Coordinate Academic and Administrative Activities: Manage course scheduling, classroom logistics, stakeholder communication, and documentation to ensure the efficient delivery of the respective language program.
Contribute to Institutional and Industry Engagement: Collaborate with faculty, industry partners, and institutional stakeholders to align language education with workplace expectations and support the university's language learning initiatives.
Required Qualification:
Master's degree or Ph.D. in Hindi (for the Conversational Hindi position) or Punjabi (for the Conversational Punjabi position).
4–5 years of experience in language training and education, higher education teaching, corporate learning and development, or executive training.
Demonstrated experience designing and delivering language-focused courses or training programs.
Strong understanding of interpersonal communication, presentation skills, and workplace communication.
Excellent facilitation, coaching, and learner engagement skills.
Experience managing academic or professional development programs and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in the respective language (Hindi or Punjabi).
Experience teaching Hindi or Punjabi in higher education institutions or leading corporate communication training initiatives.
Exposure to executive education, leadership communication, or professional development programs.
Certifications in communication training, learning design, executive coaching, facilitation, or related areas would be an advantage.
Experience using technology-enabled learning platforms and digital learning tools.
