Steward activities

• Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Restaurant Steward to join our team. As a steward, you will play a key role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in our restaurant, ensuring a smooth operation and excellent guest experience.
• Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment promptly.
- Operate dishwashing equipment effectively and safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing area and kitchen overall.
- Assist with the receiving and storage of deliveries.
- Dispose of trash and recycling in accordance with restaurant policies.
- Sweep, mop, and maintain floors in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Assist with basic food prep tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely service.
- Follow sanitation and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Support other restaurant staff members as needed.
• Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred.
- Knowledge of proper sanitation procedures and safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Willingness to work in a hot, humid environment and perform repetitive tasks.
• Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
