The Role
As a Solicitor in the Statewide Child Protection Litigation Office, you will be working in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You will be required to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and prioritize your workload accordingly.
Responsibilities
Represent the department in child protection matters in the Children's Court and in related jurisdictions, such as VCAT.
Manage allocated child protection litigation files with supervision, including effective client liaison and inter-party communication and negotiation.
Provide legal advice, briefings, and correspondence to clients.
