Site: Credit Valley Hospital but have the flexibility to work and be reassigned to all Trillium Health Partner sites.

Position Summary:
Perform 2D, m-mode, color flow echocardiograms for non-invasive diagnosis and assessment of cardiovascular disease in adults, children and infants at any of the THP sites
Assist with transesophageal echoes (TEE’s) and contrast studies
Maintain accurate records of tests performed
Assist with statistical data and quality assurance for echo lab
Ensure equipment is functioning properly and maintain adequate supplies
Maintains a safe work environment for co-workers, patients and visitors
Collaborate with other team members to optimize use of available resources
Ensure a patient-centered environment
Qualifications:
THP is committed to internal talent, and therefore priority will be given to internal applicants.
Current Registration with a recognized credentialing organization (CARDUP/ARDMS)
Must be registered with CMRITO on an annual basis
Practical experience in adult echocardiography required
Practical experience in paediatric echocardiography is an asset
Experience with stress echocardiograms is an asset
Experience with transesophageal echocardiograms and contrast echocardiograms is an asset
Current BCLS CPR certification
Ability to work independently as well as a member of a dynamic team
Demonstrated effective decision making skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with excellent patient care skills
A service excellence attitude is essential
Strong organizational skills combined with effective problem solving abilities
Positive work and attendance record is essential
