Position Purpose

The person will be part of GIS team located in Mumbai

A Deployment Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the deployment of .NET applications and related software to various environments (development testing). This role ensures that deployments are smooth, efficient, and adhere to project timelines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deployment Planning and Execution:
• Develop and maintain deployment roadmaps
• Execute application deployments across development, testing, staging environments.
• Ensure that deployments are performed in a timely manner with minimal disruption to business operations.
• Configuration Management:
• Manage and maintain configuration files and scripts necessary for application deployment.
• Ensure that configurations are consistent across different environments.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
• Monitor deployed applications to ensure they are functioning correctly.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during or after deployment.
• Provide post-deployment support and handle any escalations.
• Documentation:
• Document deployment processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of deployment activities and outcomes.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment processes.
• Communicate deployment schedules, changes, and issues effectively to all stakeholders.
• Communicate with the vendor technical team for the technical fix
• Compliance and Security:
• Ensure that all deployments comply with organizational policies and industry standards.
• Implement security measures to protect deployed applications and data.

Technical Skills:

Mandatory Skills:

· Experience on application deployment of .NET applications

· Knowledge on application architecture, servers, load balancer, database, NAS storage

· Knowledge with Microsoft SQL Server

· Knowledge of middleware tools MQ / Kafka API

· Knowledge on SSL certificate installation on windows server, registering application as service

· Knowledge on network connectivity protocols TCP, HTTP, HTTPS etc

Good to Have Skills:

· Knowledge on query optimization and tuning related to database

· Knowledge with CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Fortify, and NexusIQ

· Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)

Soft Skills:

1. Communication and Collaboration:

· Excellent communication skills to collaborate with vendors, stakeholders, and team members

· Ability to plan, execute, and manage acceptance tests

· Strong project management skills to coordinate infrastructure orders and deployments
