• Required Skills:
Software Engineer, Audio Applied Scientist Responsibilities:
1. Research, design, and develop advanced signal processing algorithms with application to speech and audio
2. Define and build new algorithms and add enhancements to existing algorithms to support human listening, machine listening, and other new experiences for communications
3. Build specialized Machine Learning (ML) for resource constrained platforms (e.g., mobile/wearables). Explore new paradigms in AI and Machine learning
4. Hands on with implementation and optimization of algorithms classical DSP and ML inference engines
5. Contribute to roadmap planning for the next generation of platforms.
6. Collaborate with other researchers/scientists, engineers, cross-functional partners from multiple disciplines
• Minimum Qualifications:

7. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
8. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
9. 2+ years software development experience in industry settings
10. 2+ years relevant audio software engineering experience including DSP/ML audio algorithm development in industry settings
11. Experience with C or C++ and with scientific programming languages such as MATLAB, Python or similar.
12. Experience in any of the following areas: Small footprint ML, Differential DSP, Echo/Noise reduction, Spatial Processing, Hearing Aids.
• Preferred Qualifications:

13. MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
14. Expertise in audio signal processing both classical and machine learning techniques.
15. Proven track record of innovation as demonstrated by products shipped, publications and/or patents.

17. Excellence in technical communication with peers, partners, and non-technical cohorts.
18. Experience developing GenAI systems.
• Public Compensation:
$56.25/hour to $173,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
