Sheet Metal Fabrication Assembler

Position overview: Assemble components to create steel products.
What you'll do:
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine assembly specifications
• Assemble steel components using tools and machinery, ensuring accurate measurements
• Cut materials using power tools or by hand
• Grind and buff seams, joints, and rough surfaces
• Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specifications
• Assemble, erect, and install sheet metal structures using hoisting and rigging equipment according to specifications and building codes
• Collaborate with team members to optimize efficiency and troubleshoot any assembly issues that may arise during the manufacturing process
• Adhere to safety protocols
What you'll bring:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 or more years of related steel manufacturing assembly experience is necessary
• Knowledge of the manufacturing industry, including facilities and operations
• Experience in the construction industry is an asset
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of assembly process
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery
• Physical fitness and ability to work in reasonably demanding physical situations
• Must be able to problem solve, time manage, troubleshoot, and be adaptable
• Familiar with and able to work effectively with power tools
• Strong English communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• High level of self-discipline, motivation, and integrity
• Ability to work with little supervision and day-to-day guidance
• Must be articulate and presentable
Working conditions:
• Heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs.

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
