We are looking for a highly-skilled, committed and experienced senior executive to join the team leading ACIC’s development, coordination and analysis of criminal intelligence – possessing capabilities that are vital to understanding, revealing and supporting the disruption of serious and organised crime. We are looking for a leader who can inspire our people to innovate, integrate and deliver intelligence outcomes that make a tangible difference.

As an SES Band 1 leader within the Mission Coordination and Analysis Division, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the Division’s work program and driving high-quality intelligence outcomes. Reporting to the Executive Director, Mission Coordination and Analysis (SES Band 2), you will lead one of the branches and contribute as part of the Division’s leadership team to set direction, build capability, and ensure ACIC’s intelligence mission is strategically coordinated and aligned with priorities.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a results-focused, collaborative and strategic thinker who thrives in a complex and fast-paced national security environment. The role requires exercising strong judgement, guiding teams to deliver high-value outcomes, and maintaining trusted relationships with stakeholders across government and other partner agencies and sectors.

A merit pool may be created to fill future vacancies which have the same or similar requirements to this position.

Role responsibilities
As a National Manager within the Mission Coordination and Analysis Division, you will:

Provide strategic leadership and direction for one of the Division’s branches, overseeing complex intelligence functions and delivering impactful results that align with ACIC’s mission
Lead and manage teams to produce authoritative intelligence analysis, and advice that inform strategic and operational decision-making
Shape and implement work programs that drive continuous improvement, operational excellence and innovation in intelligence coordination and analysis
Model professionalism, integrity and sound judgement in managing competing priorities and sensitive issues within existing resources
Exercise well-developed judgement and strategic thinking with demonstrated ability to anticipate and analyse issues from multiple perspectives
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, utilising your high-level engagement and communication skills to understand requirements and foster collaborative relationships.

Eligibility
Citizenship – To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen.
Security Clearance - The Australian community expects ACIC employees to maintain the highest levels of security and integrity. Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
Pre-Employment Screening – All candidates must satisfy an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to being offered employment at the ACIC.
