Duties

Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current laws.
Develop and implement tax strategies that align with clients' financial goals.
Conduct thorough analyses of financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities.
Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on clients and the practice.
Provide training and guidance to junior staff members on tax-related matters.
Experience

Proven experience in a tax role or similar position within an accountancy practice
Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in using accounting software, including QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
A professional qualification in accounting or taxation is preferred.
