Qualifications
A creative, detail-oriented designer with a strong point of view and a passion for swim and cover-ups
Experienced in designing within a fast-paced, high-volume environment, ideally with multi-brand or big-box
retail exposure
Highly collaborative and comfortable partnering cross-functionally with Design, Tech, Production, Sourcing, and Merchandising teams
Technically skilled in Adobe Creative Suite and collaborative tools such as Miro, with the ability to clearly
communicate design intent
Skilled at translating trend and concept into commercially successful, on-brand product
Confident in communicating design intent, fit feedback, and development direction at all stages of the
Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Trend-aware, market-savvy, and continuously curious about the swim and resort landscape
Hands-on, solutions-oriented, and adaptable in an evolving, fast-moving environment
A positive team player with a strong work ethic and collaborative mindset
Responsibilities
This role reports to and operates under the guidance of the VP of Design & Merchandising and works closely with the Sourcing, Product Development, and Technical teams
This is a key design role, collaborating daily alongside the greater Design team
Design and develop seasonal swim and cover-up assortments
Collaborate on color palettes, prints, and trend-driven stories
Partner closely with the team to source and develop new fabrics, including full-fashion crochet
Source and develop innovative trims and embellishment techniques
Own and manage seasonal calendars, ensuring all category deadlines are met
Design and develop silhouettes from initial concept through final execution
Clearly illustrate design intent through CADs (silhouettes, trims, embellishments, textures, crochet patterns,
Create detailed tech packs, maintain updates, and manage designs through final sample approval
Develop new silhouettes aligned with trend, brand DNA, and commercial viability
Communicate design intent and development progress clearly to Production and Fit teams
Attend weekly fittings and confidently articulate fit intent and feedback
Maintain timely, clear written and verbal communication with cross-functional partners
Partner with the design team to source new and innovative swim-appropriate fabrics and trims
Manage workflow across all phases of the development process
Collaborate with 3D artists to develop accurate 3D CADs that reflect design intent
Present designs during internal design reviews alongside the team
Co-present seasonal assortments with the VP of Design during client meetings
Support the creation of mood boards under the trend direction provided by VP of Design & Merchandising
Collaborate on storytelling and thematic alignment across prints, fabrics, and color per delivery
Partner closely with Textile Designers on print development
Maintain up-to-date market and trend knowledge specific to the swim industry through store visits, online
Create global recap reports highlighting current market trends with a focus on brand aesthetic
Develop compelling presentations, including CAD decks, 3D assets, samples, and presentation decks
Effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
