Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or Art
Must have 5-7 years of Swim experience
Relevant industry experience
Ability to act as liaison between many departments: excellent communication and analytic skills
Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop
Responsibilities
This individual will be responsible for seasonally designing and executing a specific classification that coordinates with the brand concept and philosophy
Seasonally initiate concept within the brand strategy
Evaluate other classifications objectively and give criticism
Work within the brand framework of Designer/Buyer partnership and to be able grow a classification
Establish full working knowledge of raw materials inherent to a specific classification
Oversee all aspects of presentation from boards to prototypes to articulation of ideas and market direction
Make monthly presentations to design and merchandising staff
Work closely with other members of the design team to ensure a cohesive product line is realized
Research market trends domestically and internationally and evaluate trends as they relate to the brand image
Establish full working knowledge of lab dip procedure and washes and finishes
