We are looking for 2 customer-focussed Performance Leads, experienced in Pace or Agile

You will play a critical leadership role to drive uplifted Crew performance within the Financial Crime Domain and the COO Transformation Domain

Our Team

The Chief Operations Office (COO) keeps the Bank running and powers our customer obsession. We process and execute the majority of all processes across the Bank supporting the Retail, Business, CommSec, Institutional businesses with banking, lending and markets operations, along with running regulatory operations and Group regulatory initiatives.

The COO Performance Chapter is responsible for managing all of COO Portfolio. Within this space, we have the Financial Crime Domain (FCD) that is dedicated to identifying, preventing, and mitigating risks associated with financial crimes such as money laundering, fraud, and terrorism financing, and the COO Transformation Domain, responsible for delivering changes into our COO operations teams. By leveraging advanced technologies and robust compliance frameworks, the team ensures the safety and integrity of financial transactions and protects CBA’s reputation.

Do Work That Matters

As the Performance Lead your key role will be to act as a trusted partner and advisor to Technology and Crew Lead. You will ensure alignment of the crew’s outcomes and metrics to the overall strategy of the crew and 3-year plan, playing a key role in articulating our transformation roadmap. You will be a critical member of the Crew, partnering around Agile ways of working and quarterly planning.

More specifically you will

Drive the Quarterly planning cycle to achieve business outcomes and efficiency.

Uplift performance by tracking metrics and providing meaningful insights in order to execute interventions to uplift capability and performance

Ensure reporting, risks, issues and dependencies are all managed in line with our Strategic Planning Process and tooling.

Deep dive into the analytics and provide meaningful insights to drive business decisions.

Manage high complexity and change, solve problems, manage senior/broad stakeholder relationships and operate with an enterprise mindset.

Implement, lead or support the development of centralised operational procedures and tools are streamlined and consistent across all teams, in collaboration with Group PACE.

Act as a conduit across teams to ensure information flow, and regulatory commitments can be delivered and escalation of risks and issues

Can demonstrate proven experience in Agile delivery and/or product management delivery to join our dynamic team.

Are strategic thinkers, problem-solvers who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with background in strategy, program delivery, risk management or consulting - Highly desirable.

Can demonstrate highly developed expertise in analysing data and performance, and dissecting metrics, especially as it relates to transformation.

Can demonstrate experience in Jira and Planview to assist in the adoption and integration of the Group’s expanded tooling ecosystems.

Can demonstrate knowledge and experience in AI Tools (e.g. Copilot) to help us uplift this capability within our Chapter and Domain.

Can take ownership outside of their immediate sphere of influence and provide strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels, including ability to challenge the status quo.

Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Are customer-obsessed, with proven ability to articulate and drive outcomes for customers

Possesses comprehensive understanding of risk management in complex environments adhering to compliance obligations and developing ‘risk resilient’ cultures.
