Job Description:
We are looking for a qualified Legal Counsel for the role of Senior Manager/ Deputy General Manager (Legal) with a law degree from a well-recognized university. An additional Company Secretary degree will be preferable. The successful candidate will be responsible for contract and litigation management, overseeing compliance & secretarial work, providing legal opinions to internal corporate and business teams, conducting trainings on contract management, preparing legal newsletters, and monitoring changes in laws relevant to our company's operations etc.
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
• Drafting, evaluation, negotiation and vetting of request for proposals, request for quotation, tender conditions, bid documents, procurement contracts, sales contracts, EPC contracts, sub-contracts, service agreements, NDA, software agreements, lease agreements, research agreements, collaboration agreements, joint ventures, teaming agreement etc.
• To play an effective role in contract management, oversight of contract management process, developing standard contracts, ensuring compliance with contracting policy, review contractual performance, contract risk management, identify conflicts or changes requiring resolution at contract renewal, enforcing documentation standards etc.
• To conduct initial litigation case assessment and investigation, draft pleadings, written statements, rejoinders, applications, manage litigations, coordination with advocates, representing before courts, tribunals, statutory authorities etc.
• Manage end to end litigations regarding recovery matters, insolvency matters, arbitration proceedings, employment law matters, consumer cases, contractual disputes, civil and criminal cases, injunctions and reliefs etc.
• Provide legal advice and opinions to internal corporate and business teams on a wide range of legal issues.
• Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure legal compliance and mitigate legal risks.
• Develop and ensure effective implementation of corporate policies and procedures.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations that impact the company's operations and ensure compliance.
• Stay informed about industry best practices and legal trends to provide proactive legal support to the organization.
• To provide training on contracts and Legal/Litigation risk management.
• Prepare and distribute legal newsletters to keep internal stakeholders informed about legal developments.
Indirect/Overseeing Responsibilities:
While management of the legal and litigation management will be his core responsibility but his ability to oversee Company Secretarial work, Corporate Governance requirements,
