Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Industrial Mechanic to join their operations team. This role is based in Thane, Maharashtra, IN, and requires the candidate to work on-site. You will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of complex industrial machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate possesses a strong mechanical aptitude, a deep understanding of various industrial systems, and a commitment to ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of industrial machinery, including pumps, motors, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment according to established schedules to minimize downtime. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand equipment operations and repair procedures. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Utilize precision measuring instruments and diagnostic tools to ensure accuracy in repairs. Ensure all work performed adheres to safety regulations and company policies. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify areas for process improvement. Operate forklifts and other equipment safely as needed for material handling. Respond to emergency repair calls as required. Train and mentor junior mechanics on best practices and safe operating procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification or apprenticeship in industrial mechanics is highly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an industrial mechanic or in a similar role. Proficiency in maintaining and repairing various types of industrial machinery. Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, gearboxes, bearings, and lubrication techniques. Ability to read and understand complex mechanical drawings and schematics. Familiarity with welding and machining techniques is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Physical stamina and ability to work in demanding environments, including confined spaces and at heights. Awareness of safety protocols and procedures in an industrial setting. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
