Role Description The Senior Fashion Designer will lead the design and development of seasonal collections, from concept creation to final samples, in a full-time on-site role based in Gurugram. Responsibilities include researching trends, fabrics, and silhouettes; creating mood boards, sketches, and technical drawings; and overseeing fittings to ensure garments achieve the desired aesthetic and fit. The role involves close collaboration with pattern makers, production teams, and merchandisers to translate design concepts into commercially viable products. The Senior Fashion Designer will guide junior designers, review embroidery and textile treatments, and ensure consistency with brand identity and quality standards. This position also requires regular coordination with vendors and suppliers, as well as timely delivery of collections aligned with market calendars.
Qualifications
• Strong Fashion Design and Fashion concept development skills, including trend analysis and collection planning.
• Hands-on expertise in Embroidery and decorative techniques for enhancing garment design.
• Proficiency in Fitting, garment construction, and pattern review to achieve precise silhouettes and comfort.
• Sound knowledge of Textiles, fabrics, and surface treatments, with the ability to choose appropriate materials for each design.
• Advanced sketching and CAD design skills (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools).
• Experience leading design projects and mentoring junior team members in a fashion studio or brand environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with production, merchandising, and sourcing teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Fashion Design or a related field, with several years of relevant experience in fashion apparel design.
• Ability to work on-site in Gurugram and manage multiple projects within tight timelines.
