Job Description
Experience with painting, drawing, mixed media, and translating hand-created work into production-ready digital files is important
Excellent color sense – a strong understanding of color, trend, and print placement is essential
They should have a refined eye and be able to develop sophisticated palettes that feel fashion-forward and brand appropriate
Ability to interpret inspiration – candidates should be able to look at inspiration imagery and recreate the feeling, artistry, and level of sophistication while still producing original work
Fast-paced environment – our team works on tight deadlines, often balancing several projects and brands at once
The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and capable of producing high-quality work quickly
Advanced Adobe Photoshop and/or Procreate skills
Experience preparing artwork for repeat and placement prints
Strong understanding of scale, layout, and textile production considerations
6+ years of experience in women’s apparel
Strong color & print sense
Strong English language skills, both written and verbal
Strong organization and communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Technical knowledge of fabric construction
Strong understanding of print layouts and repeats
Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, Kaledo and Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities:

• Print expertise – experience with florals, botanicals, conversational prints, engineered placements, scarves, painterly artwork, geometrics, and novelty prints is highly desirable.
